Overview schedule Belgian Grand Prix 2022

The summer break is almost over and traditionally that means only one thing: it's time for the Belgian Grand Prix. At the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the Formula One drivers will start the first of the remaining nine races of the 2022 season. We have a useful schedule with all the times of the sessions in the Ardennes.

To begin with the first free practice, which will mark the first track action of the second half of the season. It is scheduled to start on Friday at 2pm, like almost always with the European races. Three hours later, the second free practice is scheduled. The next day, the third free practice starts at 1pm, with qualifying at 4pm. The Grand Prix starts at 3pm on Sunday.

Ferrari must strike back at Red Bull and Verstappen now

Max Verstappen enters the second half of the season as the odds-on favourite for the world title. The Dutchman has managed to build an eighty-point lead over Charles Leclerc. The Ferrari driver has had to deal with a lot of bad luck, strategic blunders by his team and his own driving errors this season. It is up to him and his team to make up for the damage from now on.

The only question is: is there enough time left? With nine races to go, Ferrari has significantly fewer chances than in the first half of the season, which lasted for thirteen races. And what can Carlos Sainz still do for his team? The Spaniard has lost even more points than Leclerc and has to make do with a spot behind Sergio Pérez and even George Russell. On top of that, now that Lewis Hamilton seems to have gotten a taste for his Mercedes, the question arises who will be Red Bull Racing's biggest challenger after the summer? We will find out soon enough.
