Top transfer falls through due to tampering with birth certificate

| by Jozef Baartman

Youssoufa Moukoko was on the radar interest of several European top clubs. Borussia Dortmund's big talent looked all set for a mega-transfer to the Premier League. However, it now appears that Moukoko's perceived age is not correct and so the striker can forget about a transfer for now.

Moukouko's birth certificate is alleged to have contained false information, according to the Austrian Laola1. The Dortmund-striker was thought to be 18 years old, but might in actuality be 22. he is 22 years old and not 18. Moukoko's adoptive father allegedly sent the actual birth certificate to a journalist in an email, which listed the name Youssoufa Mohamadou, born in 2000. That would be Moukoko.

The German BILD indicates that the reports in the Austrian media are true. For Moukoko, the news is a bummer because Chelsea and Newcastle United, among others, withdrew their interest after the announcement of the striker's real age.
