Verstappen and Pérez speed away from competition ahead of Emilia-Romagna GP.

After a week of relative peace and quiet, we can get ready for another race weekend, this time in Italy. The season continues in Europe where the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will be held from May 19-21. If we take a look at the betting agencies, Max Verstappen and teammate Sergio Pérez are the top favourties on all the lists. With a great display of power, Max Verstappen won the last Grand Prix. The Dutchman started on P9 in Miami, but as he has shown time and time again, he is at his strongest at those times. An impressive race followed and resulted in a complementary victory. Red Bull's supremacy this season is huge, but the battle between Verstappen and his teammate Sergio Pérez is an interesting one. In the World Cup standings, Verstappen is on 119 points, Pérez has 105. In third place is Fernando Alonso with 75 points.

This weekend will be all about the Italian Grand Prix. Last season this Grand Prix was held in April and Verstappen reigned supreme in both the sprint race and the Grand Prix on Sunday. This edition will not feature a sprint race. Taking a look at the betting agencies, we see that Verstappen is the towering favourite. Given the low odds, it does not pay to bet on the overall winner at this stage. The odds will usually change after the free practice sessions and it is wise to wait for them before placing a bet.
