After a rainy and thrilling race in Monaco, the Formula 1 circus immediately moves on to the next Grand Prix. This weekend, the Spanish Grand Prix is on the agenda and that is where the true dynamics between the teams will once again become clear. The race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya takes place on European soil, so the times will not differ compared to the previous Monaco Grand Prix.
In past years, the Spanish Grand Prix was held before the Formula 1 teams had to move to Monaco. This season, it's the other way around. The race in Barcelona is the eighth race on the calendar, but due to the canceled Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, it will be the seventh race to be held. At the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the race, as we remain in Europe, will start at 3:00 PM local time. The full schedule can be found below.

Will Mercedes make the expected leap forward?
The Spanish Grand Prix marks the return to a normal circuit. This also means that the true dynamics between the Formula 1 teams will become clear, especially since the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has always been seen as an ideal testing circuit. Red Bull Racing won with Max Verstappen in Monaco, despite the team not necessarily expecting a victory. It remains to be seen if the dominance of the Austrian team will be even stronger in Spain.
Mercedes is the team that may be looking forward to the race in the southern European country the most. The German team introduced a new update package in Monaco, but the tight street circuit is obviously not an ideal track to test this package. In Barcelona, Mercedes will have a better understanding of the upgrades and whether they will truly propel the team forward. However, if we are to believe the eight-time constructor's champion, we shouldn't expect miracles.
